ABOUT OMBAK PUTIH

The M/S Ombak Putih is a 42m traditional Indonesian schooner liveaboard schedules exciting cultural immersion trips throughout the eastern Indonesian archipelago year round. The 14 member crew onboard Ombak Putih is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the area and will ensure an authentic adventure for every guest.

MS Ombak Putih Indonesia is 42m in length and provides luxurious accommodations for up to 24 guests. Each of the 12 cabins are equipped with individual climate control, private bathroom, plenty of space and towel refresh service. Excellent food and snacks, tea, coffee and mineral water are served on board. Guests may relax on the spacious sun and semi covered decks or in the spacious lounge and bar equipped with TV, DVD and music centre. A selection of wines, beer and spirits are for sale.

Ombak Putih Indonesia offers tour itineraries to spectacular sites throughout the Indonesian archipelago. Snorkeling clear turquoise waters, hiking volcanoes, visiting villages and relaxing beachside while being pampered by the attentive crew will make an Ombak Putih Indonesia liveaboard holiday the ultimate adventure.

Led by Captain Agung, with a crew of 14, Ombak Putih means ‘White Wave’ in the Indonesian language. Her keel was first laid down in Kalimantan in 1995, and she became operational in 1997. At 42 meters long, she is the larger of our two ships, providing accommodation for up to 24 guests in 12 comfortable cabins. Approximately 400 square meters of public space is divided over her two main decks, including a large salon, as well as covered and open areas, allowing plenty of room for our guests to spread out, relax, and enjoy as much company or solitude as they wish.

Safety and Seaworthiness

The vessel is fitted with all internationally required safety and communications equipment such as SSB and VHF radios, life jackets, life rafts, and satellite telephone. Experienced navigators consider it an axiom that the seaworthiness of a vessel depends on the seaworthiness of the crew. Our ship has a well-trained and well-seasoned Indonesian crew of sixteen, complemented by a multilingual European Cruise Director. We are proud of the fact that most of the crew members that joined us when the vessel was launched are still on board today.
