About Al Iikai
Al Iikai means Queen of the Seas. She is 37 meters long overall, with a 8 meter beam, so there is plenty of room to create your own “special” space for your trip. While trying to maintain her integrity as a boat, she is more like a boutique hotel with sails.
Crewed by 10 Bugis seafarers, the boat is equipped with the latest in navigation and safety technology. The flat-bottomed tenders allow her to navigate ever the shallowest of water. Ladders on the tenders enable easy entry and exit for snorkeling.
A desalination plant provides water for long hot showers. The crew consists of 3 captains, 3 engineers, 4 guest relations crew, plus a Western Cruise Director.
This phinisi boat can carry up to 16 people on board. There are five king size bedrooms, all air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms. The three above deck have amazing sea views. The bathrooms have hot and cold water showers, granite floors, and tumbled marble walls. Below deck are two comfortable rooms with Queen size beds. Additionally, a bunk room forward with a double bed, and three single bunks, makes a perfect place for a family of 5. Now Al Iikai is equipped so we can adventure in style!
There is inside and outside dining. The enclosed lounge provides a relaxing space should we encounter inclement weather. The front of the ship is lined with double day beds for relaxing in comfort. Two upper decks offer additional space for reading, or simply chilling out. Unlike many Phinisi’ (or other ships) designs, there are “sensible” stairs between decks. The headroom in all areas of the boat, give clearance to all but the tallest of people.
The meals are a mix of Indonesian and Western food, delicious meals on board.
